Bot Designer

The Bot Designer product, “Designer” is a visual design tool that allows bot builders to create a bot, add a flow which is represented as a logical tree diagram, and drag steps to the flow to perform specific pieces of logic. The bot designer is the core component of the Communication Studio platform which is where bots are built and maintained.

Action Desk

Action desk is a visual web application design tool that allows users to create custom web apps and dashboards which can be associated with one or more bots and shared with various audiences.

Action Desk consists of “views” which contain a variety of “cards;” these can be used to create tools such as a reporting dashboard, data entry form, management interface, etc.

Live Agent

The Live Agent product is an agent call center interface that allows its users to interact in real-time with customers over voice, SMS, and chat. Live Agent exists in Action Desk and can be integrated with bots in the Studio, thus making it possible to automate parts of the support process.

Files & Data

The Files & Data (F&D) application offers simple file/folder storage and management for your account, whether this be images to use in MMS messages or pre-recorded audio prompts for voice calls. All files are stored in Amazon’s fast and secure S3 service.

Files & Data also includes the capability to create custom data tables, which can then be accessed and updated using bots. For example, F&D can be used as a CRM database, continually updating itself as your customers interact with your bot.

Reporting

TBD

Reporting is a component of the Action Desk product.

Reporting

The Library is not a standalone application but rather a storage facility for pre-created bot components. This includes bot, flow, step, and card templates, which can be used on their own or in conjunction with custom components to develop a solution. The Library also contains prebuilt solution templates for a variety of common use cases; these can be implemented with little to no development required.
